Template Market Introduction
Template Market Purpose
The template market provides a platform for integrating, sharing and reusing config entry (CI) templates, while providing automatic discovery configurations for reclaimed assets such as physics, virtual machines, databases, etc.
In the CMDB, CI Type defines the attributes and relationships of specific types of IT assets, services, or resources. By creating a template marketplace, users can choose from existing, validated templates to accelerate the creation and deployment process of configuration items.
Users can choose pure pattern to install CMDB system without any built-in template, the template market provides a common CMDB template, which allows users to quickly create models by downloading their imports.
Download

Users can download the required template files via the Template Download button on the template details page.
Import
The user opens the deployed cmdb site, selects the model configuration and uploads the downloaded template file to automatically create the template as shown below in:

- For the properties in the import template, if the properties do not exist in the system, new properties will be added to the profile and updated to include gender names, data types, etc. if the properties already exist in the system.
- Select List of attributes are only supported for importing Enum、Built In values., Webhook、 other model attributes and script types is not supported
- Model triggers do not support import
Auto-Discover
According to the auto-discovery rules, models are divided into regular models, built-in models, plugin models, and network devices. Users can differentiate them by the icon in the top right corner of the model.
To achieve automatic discovery, you must first apply and install the agent in advance. Please refer to the Agent Application and Installation Guide For different types, only the auto-discovery rules differ, but for users, they can achieve auto-discovery by downloading and uploading model files, with minimal configuration required.
- Generic models are models that do not automatically discover functionality, i.e. non-physical models such as corporate structure, department, products, etc.
:Built-in model supports auto-discovery models that can only be installed on machines that need to be automatically discovered, such as physics, virtual machines, public clouds, etc.
:plugin model configures the required code plugins for auto-discovery, property associations, etc. Users only need to install the agent model on a machine.Databases, etc.Databases, etc.
:Network devices that only need to be installed on machines that can be discovered, will enable automatic discovery of all devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, printers, etc.
Through the template market, users can easily add new templates, greatly simplifying the complexity of automatic discoveries.
